FAQ: Travelling with a dog

Dog ramp or stairs for car. What is best for your dog?

Benefits of the RAMP:

Because of its gradual slope, it's easier for large breeds, elderly dogs, and dogs with arthritis. Perfect for such cars like SUVs and trucks.

Cons: Larger, a littile heavier and necessitates more storage space.

Benefits of STAIRS:

smaller, lighter, and simpler to store. Excellent for smaller automobiles(I mean hachbacks and sedands) and younger, nimble dogs.

Cons: It could be difficult for larger or older dogs who have mobility problems.

So, my recommendation

for large or elderly dogs, go for a ramp; for tiny to medium-sized dogs, or those without mobility issues, use stairs.

How can I attach a dog ramp to a car?

  1. Select the Correct Ramp: Make sure the dog ramp fits the height of your car as well as the dimensions and weight of your dog. Ramps can be made more adaptable by folding or adjusting.
  2. Position the Ramp: Place the ramp's top end on the edge of the car, such as the rear seat, trunk, or door frame. Make sure it is firmly in line with the surface of the car.
  3. Secure the Ramp: To stop sliding, the majority of dog ramps contain rubber or anti-slip foot. Some types come with clips or straps that may be fastened to the vehicle to add extra stability if the ramp doesn't seem secure.
  4. Test Stability: To make sure the ramp won't sway or move, gently press down on it. By doing this, you can make sure the dog feels secure utilizing it.
  5. Lead Your Dog: To help your dog get acclimated to the ramp, encourage them to walk up and down it gradually. For the first few times, you might need to help or mentor them.

Guys please pay Attention!

When your dog is first using the ramp, it's crucial to constantly keep an eye on them.
