KLM: Rules for transporting pets in the aircraft cabin

When travelling in Economy Class or Business Class within Europe, you are permitted to take one cat or dog with you in the cabin. Your pet must travel under the seat in front of you, so make sure your four-legged friend can fit in a closed travel bag or kennel measuring no more than 46 x 28 x 24 cm.

The travel bag or kennel together with your pet can weigh up to 8 kg. During the flight, you are not allowed to take your pet out of the kennel, so only take your cat or dog into the cabin if it is small enough to move around comfortably.

When flying in Premium Comfort Class or Business Class on an intercontinental journey, you are not allowed to take a pet into the cabin. It is then not feasible to place a travel bag or kennel under your seat.
