A soft travel bag for your cat or small dog, for the cabin on LOT flights. Without pressing it is 55 x 40 x 23 cm. For the B787, B777 and B737, LOT lists a maximum of 55 x 40 x 20 cm. The top is soft fabric, so when you press it down lightly, you get to 20 cm.
Only the base is firm, and you can take it out to clean or fold the bag. Inside there is a fleece mat and a safety leash, so your pet can't just jump out when you open the bag.

Press the top down lightly and the bag comes to 20 cm high. That way it fits within the size LOT lists for the B787, B777 and B737.
Try it at home with a tape measure, with your pet inside. LOT's ground staff make the final call on whether the bag can come on board.

To be honest: this bag is 23 cm high and LOT lists 20 cm. I'd rather tell you here at the top than have you find out at the airport. The top is soft fabric and gives when you press it lightly. Only the base is firm.

Rules change sometimes. So check the official LOT page before you book.
Length 55 cm, width 40 cm. Without pressing the bag is 23 cm high. Press the soft top down lightly and it comes to 20 cm, the height LOT lists.
Under the seat the top gives a little and then springs back. Your pet usually lies down during the flight, so those few centimetres hardly matter.
All you need is a tape measure. Measure your pet while standing calmly. In the bag your pet must be able to stand, turn around and lie down normally.
Measuring a cat
Cats usually lie curled up on a plane, so length matters most. At 55 cm long there is enough room for most cats up to 6.5 kg.
Measuring a dog
If your dog stands up for a moment, the soft top gives a little.
Add a few centimetres to length and height so your pet can move. And don't forget the weight: on LOT, with this bag, that is about 6.5 kg at most.

Does your pet see the bag for the first time at the airport? Then it will be a stressful day for both of you.
Put the bag open in the room a week or two before the flight. Put a familiar blanket in it and now and then a treat. Then close the bag a few times and reward your pet afterwards. On travel day the bag already smells like home.
Also practise pressing the top down at home, with your pet inside. Then you know how it feels and your pet won't be startled at the gate.
