The Carina is a dog bed for the back seat of your car. It is 115 cm long and covers the whole seat, so 2 to 3 small dogs can lie side by side.

What makes it different from a regular bed: two plastic anchors that you push between the seat and the backrest. If you brake hard, the bed does not slide forward.

What I like most about the Carina: the two anchors. You push them into the gap of the back seat and the bed stays in place, even when you suddenly have to brake.

What does it have?

115 x 45 x 35 cm Covers the whole back seat, with raised sides all round and a higher back
2 seat anchors Ribbed plastic bars on an elastic strap. Push them between the seat and the backrest

In the boot you simply lay the Carina flat.

Sizes may vary by 1 to 2 cm: it is a soft, padded bed. Measure your back seat first, from door to door.

Use and care

Cushion: take it out, hand wash in lukewarm water, air dry
Hair: lint roller or vacuum cleaner
Small stains: dab with lukewarm water and mild soap
Whole bed: the cover does not come off, so hand wash it in one piece. No bleach, no tumble dryer
Drying: air dry, put the cushion back only when everything is dry
Before a long drive: quickly check the leash and the anchors

Let your dogs get used to it at home

Put the bed at home for a few days first, with the cushion in it and a treat now and then. Once it smells like home, they will hop into the car more easily.

Start with short trips, to the woods or the vet. Clip the leash to the harness every time.

How many dogs fit in the Carina?

Two to three small dogs, each up to about 8 kg. Together they can weigh up to 24 kg. The bed is 45 cm wide including the sides, so they lie side by side in a row.

Will my medium-sized dog fit?

Better not. The Carina is narrow and made for small dogs. For one bigger dog up to 25 kg, our Premium car seat of 80 x 50 x 28 cm is a better choice.

Will the bed slide when I brake?

The two anchors in the gap of the back seat and the non-slip dots keep the bed in place. It is not a crash-tested crate, though. So always clip your dogs to a harness with the leash.

Will the bed fit my back seat?

The bed is 115 cm long. That fits the back seat of most passenger cars. To be sure, measure your seat from door to door.

Can I put the bed in the boot?

Yes. Lay it flat in the boot of a hatchback, estate or SUV. You do not need the anchors there.

Can I wash the cover?

The cover does not come off. You take the cushion out and hand wash it in lukewarm water. The bed itself you hand wash in one piece, without bleach and without a tumble dryer.

What is the reversible cushion for?

The white fleece side is nice and warm in winter. When it is warm in the car, flip the cushion to the grey side.

Can I also use the bed at home?

Yes. At home it is simply a dog bed on the sofa or the floor. That way your dogs get used to it straight away.
